Bochum was very active for street art this year. In addition to Wright Festival, which has a tradition of 3 years now, they have put a new festival on track for Bochum Wattenscheid. Both festivals produced 5 new murals each. In Wattenscheid, now the scaffoldings of the last 3 murals have been dismantled.
MISTER OREO cooperated with his crew mate DIC for the mural at Hochstraße 45. Both are members of GMK crew.
At Bahnhofstraße 61, next to former colliery Centrum, REBELZER has set free one of his obligatoty, as he calls them, FREAKS. For me they are more louts, as they are mostly depicted with mouths wide open, bellowing. The tools in his hands characterize him as miner.
Last but not least – I cannot say that much about the mural designed by KIBE x BIRD x MISOUS at Bahnhofstraße 61. That is a question of personal preferences and I am probably not very objective on that. It is my personal highlight in a row of 5 extraordinary murals, designed for WAT UP Festival during the last weeks.
