Claudia Walde aka MADC was born 1980 in Bautzen, GDR. She holds degrees in Graphic Design from the University of Art and Design, Halle, and Central Saint Martins College, London. She has painted her first piece in 1996 in the streets and used regular spay paint from the local hardware shop. Her major international breakthrough came with her “700-Wall” – a 700 square-meter work along the train line between Berlin and Halle. This painting is probably the largest graffiti mural created by a single person.
