CHRISTEL LECHNER was born 1947 in Iserlohn. After her vocational trainig as ceramist she got 1984 a lectureship for ceramics at Bochum University. Since 1988 concrete is her material. She is famous for her life-size sculptures made of concrete and her exhibitions with her „Alltagsmenschen“ („Everyday People“) in public space. In her exhibitions she arranges her sculptures as actors in everyday situations in public space.
