ROOKIE The Weird

Robert Matzke aka ROOKIE The Weird was born in 1979 in Dresden. He is a German artist, a member of The Weird crew, a group of artists from Germany and Austria. The crew was founded in 2011 and counts ten artists so far. He studied design, focusing on illustrations in Münster where he graduated in 2007. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelance illustrator and artist with various publications in books and magazines. He refers to himself as pop-surrealist. [1]
