The street name of this Hamburg based artist SPÄM is an acronym of „Semi-Permanent Ämbient Media“. This brings it to the point: he places for an undefined time, but as persistent as possible (semi-permanent), in urban environment (Ämbient), things that are used as carrier for his motives (media). He started with stickers, practical, small and quickly attached to various places. As stickers were limited in size, he diversified to paste-ups and tiles later.
