Max Fiedler aka MEXER exhibits

When I got the announcement of this exhibition, I was irritated at first; this name was not unknown to me, but I just didn’t get it! But then! He first appeared on my radar through his collaboration on the mural „Remixing Gerresheim“ for the 40grad Urbanart Festival 2013, which unfortunately no longer exists. He also left his mark on a second mural in Franklinstraße in collaboration with BROKEN FINGAZ and KJ263.

Max Fiedler aka Mexer, born 1977 in Düsseldorf, is an illustrator, animator and game designer. He was one of the founders of the Düsseldorf comic magazine „Herrensahne“ in 1999. Since then he has illustrated a number of well-received children’s books. But he is also successful as a game designer: in 2018, a game he designed won the German Computer Game Award for the best mobile game. From 2005 to 2012, he held a teaching position at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and is now part of Studio Rabotti in Düsseldorf, where he still lives with his family.
