Yazan Bahar, Jordan Hip-Hop and graffiti artist, has designed this wall for Baladk 2020, which has produced Murals containing a message to encourage people to protect the environment.
The mural shows a man, with stylish modern sunglasses, wearing the Kufiya, which can mean everything between a political statement and the traditional headdress of the Arab man. I prefer the latter, because in the context of the painting, showing a number of chimneys smoking black in it’s background, it may possibly depict the gap between tradition and modernity in Arab society.
