The strategy of protecting buildings and facilities from graffiti with graffiti is not new. German Railway at any rate trusts in it. It seems to work.
Every year again, the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association (VRR) documents the condition of their stations in a station report. Again and again there is a need for improvement; in 2020, 19 of 26 stations and stops in Essen were described to be poor. As one of the main issues graffiti smearings is named. German Railway has hired THE TOP NOTCH, a local graffiti artist to cast out the devil with Beelzebub.
