Moni van Rheinberg was an artist who has left varied and lasting traces in public space in our town. She died far too early in 2006 in Essen. Her murals are among the oldest murals in the city and are highly respected here. As a tribute to the artist, 2016 her son had commissioned artist Gabor Doleviczenyi (Zinnober) to design the facade of his house in Essen Borbeck with motifs of Moni van Rheinberg.
In Altenessen at Grünstraße again I stumbled across a private house with motifs of Moni van Rheinberg. Again Gabor Doleviczenyi was the designer. Unfortunately I don’t know when the mural was painted.
