I was invited to take a street art trip with friends in Dortmund yesterday, but the night brought a lot of snow and so we decided to avoid longer journeys and stayed in Essen. The idea was to have a look at HoF Zollstraße and take a cup of tea later. On site I got the shock of my life! Hall of Fame Zollstraße is history now; the majority of the walls are fallen and only a little rest still stands upright. I had feared that for a long time, but even if I’ve seen it myself, it’s hard to believe. It feels like a beloved one has died suddenly. There were a number of new pieces, but to be true, my joy was limited to zero, given this morbid atmosphere.
