Jan Schoch aka EIKE is the creative head behind project Stützwerk Farbe, which has the very ambitioned aim to give the 20 columns of Helbingbrücke a new design. Essen’s Cultural Office kindly supports the project with 2000 EUR project expenditure. That isn’t that much, considering that the financial outlay to design only one column is 3000 EUR. The project started with a number of supporters, to design the first 4 columns. Who wants to support the design of further columns with a donation, please contact jan.schoch@gmx.de.

The first column of Helbingbrücke, designed by COSY, was finished now. Finely chased ornaments in dreamy to surrealistic sceneries, that’s the trademark of COSY, the only woman in team Signs and Wonders and a newcomer in Essen’s street art scene. She mostly paints on paper with smaller formats like A5 size, in black and white mostly. Now she dares to approach other formats and she now fills huge walls with her fantastic worlds, populated with strange inhabitants.
