Berlin is always worth a visit, but October isn’t the time of the year I prefer to visit the city. You may guess it, it’s because of all those additional visitors, who are focussed on the historical aspects of the reunion of Germany and the 3rd of October. And this year they all were very exited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. I had my own plans for this visit and was looking forward to find the results of the 2nd Paste-Up Festival Germany and a number of brand-new murals, evolved by the 2nd Berlin Mural Festival, both in September.
I reached Berlin by train on midday and took a tram to visit HoF Mauerpark. My Berlin friend had told me about a graffiti battle, organized by Graffitiboxshop the weekend before. I was just curious whether there was something interesting left of the pieces of „ONE TAKE BATTLE“. I suppose Mauerpark to be one of the most popular and well known halls of fame in Berlin; and of course a big number of the pieces I was looking for, were already overpainted and gone. But at least I found the winner piece, painted by Lenni, untouched alongside a number of other pieces painted in the course of that battle.

That day I had the opportunity to find out more about the waterproofness of my rain jacket; more than I wanted to know about it. It is watertight – for 10 minutes – and so I didn’t get far. I walked across Eberswalder Straße and Danziger Straße to Kollwitz Kiez, which is a very good option to take a break. On my way I met a number of paste-ups at Danziger Straße 50.
