I almost missed it, because due to the actual heat wave in Germany, my motivation to take a ride of an hour with an urban train to Wuppertal, tended to zero. But yesterday the cooling, promised by the weather forecast, arrived Northrhine Westfalia and I dared to leave home.
Parquet Dietrich in Wuppertal makes a lot of things different from their competitors. They stage their fine floorings in showrooms which are furnished, to show the various uses and styles of parquet floors. Those rooms give a perfect background for an exhibition of a special kind. The exhibited works of 19 street artists from the Rhineland street art scene, partially created on parquet pattern plates as surfaces to be painted, and the sculptures of
Ferreira / Verfürth Architects, are particularly effective in this environment. Those of you who want to get a glimpse, have to hurry up. This exhibition is on show until 5.7.2019.
