Essen Frohnhausen is not on my daily routes and so its not easy to observe the changes. But yes, there are nice people who know about my street art mania and make street art a subject of conversation. So they often draw my attention to something unusual they have spotted on their daily routes and I take my heels then an run.
This time a friend told me about a knitted snake, he had discovered during his last visit at a market day at Frohnhausen’s weekly market. And so I decided to take a closer look. Until today I didn’t know about a knitting guerilla in Frohnhausen, but it seems that there is a very active group working around the public parks and places
in Frohnhausen. Delicate knitted flowers sprout at a trafo house and the snake, which has the air sovereignty over the market place, is supported by some knitted goblins at the surrounding masts. My personal highlight: the knitted necklace of the art nouveau sculpture of the market fountain. I ask myself if it helps against this brass monkey weather!
