Farbfieber has painted a new Mural in Düsseldorf Derendorf
The 17 goals of sustainable development of the United Nations have been enforced in January 2016. Urban art campaign „Weltbaustellen – Die Welt von morgen wächst vor Ort“ deals with those goals. 17 goals – 17 murals in North Rhine Westfalia. 8 different cities have got new designed facades in 2016; 9 murals are still to come in 2017. In Düsseldorf Derendorf Farbfieber has painted a facade next to the railway station.
In Düsseldorf Derendorf, placed in a prominent position, almost at the gateway to Düsseldorf, Klaus Klinger and the Cuban artist Isaac Linares Guerra have finished an eyecatcher for the field office of AWO in Liststraße. It is clearly visible from Derendorf station and Toulouser Allee. The pretty little girl holds an undersized fire extinguisher. „What should we do?“ it is labelled with. That’s the question of our time. The world is on fire and the best chance to solve the burning problems is the generation to come, even if the available tools are undersized and not of high efficiency. This is why Klaus Klinger often works with and for children. From 25.11. – 4.12.2016 he organizes „LEGLOSWERKSTATT“ in an empty shop, Am Wehrhahn 61. There are workshops in cooperation with experienced artists and a lot of space to become creative or exchange views.
