Monday was a present. At last a golden October day, just in time for all those Halloween freaks. I didn’t want to take an active part in trick-or-treating; my interests were more the finished gables of UFAM Ruhr in Dortmund Unionviertel.
I started with Sudermannstraße 4 where my last visit in September was an experience of little success as the outlines had already been painted but work rested. So there was no chance to observe the artists Ursula Meyer & E.V.U. working that day. Now the gable was completed in black and white. As far as I know an absolute novelty for the colorful walls of that quarter. The next point on my agenda was Lange Straße 13. Scaffolding was placed on the facade of the building for construction works. The gable was completed by Julia Benz in collaboration with Christian Hinz aka KERA. Their playgrounds never can be big enough; behind the scaffolding the mural seems to consist of abstract, geometric lines and spaces. It seems that it will be some time for disassembling the scaffold and a unhindered, free view of that mural. On my way back to the tram station at Westentor I reached Humboldtstraße. Of course, the mural started in September, was finished by Alice Pasquini aka ALICE. A few steps led me to a brand new UFAM project wall of Luis Seven Martins aka L7M and SOFREESO.
