I had already told that I am a fan of 44309 Street//Art Gallery in Dortmunds Unionviertel. In the immediate neighbourhood of the U-Tower building, they are focussing on urban art. The gallery is representing international artists and runs between 6 and 8 shows per year; they also are in cooperation with TransUrban. In 2013 they started to cover the neighbourhood with murals and in the following years a number of renowned national and international street artists have left traces in their neighbourhood. The quarter benefited enormously from this work; to localise all these murals please find a map here. All begun in 2013 with „Dragonfly“, a mural designed by Alice Pasquini (IT). Now ALICE is back in town with her first solo show in Germany „I’mperfect Tense“. From April 16th until May 28th she deals with the concept of perfection and imperfection. Empty glass bottles and old cabinet doors refer to the past; and particularly because of their blemishes, defects and irregularities they are very attractive. The opening hours of the gallery are in the afternoon, so you have a lot of time to visit Unionviertel and its attractions. This time I followed Adlerstraße down to Falkenstraße, where I met a lot of known and some new pieces and some new STRIPED GUYS. I made my way to Paulinenstraße / Adlerstraße where ALICE created her latest mural for the Gallery.
